First District PTA Scholarships

 

 

Calling All Graduating Seniors!

The First District PTA Commemorative Senior Scholarship application process is now open.  The LCHS winner will receive a scholarship from the La Canada Council PTA in the amount of $750, and will move on to consideration at the First District. The deadline to submit your application packet is Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at noon. 


The application packet must be submitted via email to president@lacanadapta.org. You will receive a confirmation that your application has been received. 


Seniors must use the 2023 First District PTA Commemorative Scholarship fillable forms, which can be found here. All questions are to be answered fully, including a personal statement that touches on as many of the essay prompts as are applicable to the student.

 

The scholarship application packet must include the following completed documents in the following order:

  1. Scholarship Application Form
  2. PTA membership confirmation, which can be purchased and printed from the LCHS PTSA website at lchsptsa.org under “my account.”
  3. Student Personal Statement – response to prompt questions, which are contained in the application. Preferred in PDF.  Maximum of 500 words total. The Statement must include the word count.
  4. Completed Reference Form 

    (which can be found here) with Letter of Recommendation

  5. Copy of High School Transcript

Important News

Check-In Policy for Visitors on Campus:

A safety policy is in place for all visitors/volunteers coming onto the LCHS campus. Visitors and Volunteers need to sign in at the front office and get a visitor badge before entering the school. Please note, if you are attending a PTSA Meeting you may proceed directly to the meeting and sign-in at the meeting. Any visitors on campus without a badge may be asked to leave.
