First District PTA (FDPTA) awards scholarships of $800.00 to support students who are planning to attend a community college, trade or tech school, or a four-year college or university in the fall of 2026.
Applicants must be current graduating high school seniors or college students, members of their high school or college PTA/PTSA, have a GPA of at least 2.0, and should have a strong record of community service and/or school activities, hold an after school, part-time, or summer job, and/or manage extra home responsibilities.
The application must be submitted via the online form: First District PTA 2026 Commemorative Scholarship Application. No physical copies will be accepted.
The application includes a personal statement that touches on as many of the essay prompts as are applicable to the student, limited to 500 words. There are four (4) required uploads – a legible copy of the student’s current PTA/PTSA membership card, reference form, the letter of recommendation, and the student’s high school or college transcript.
PTSA Student memberships can be purchased on the LCHS PTSA website. PTSA membership cards can be picked up in the College & Career Center from Mrs. Proctor. You’ll need to scan this card and include it in your online application.
DEADLINE: 5 p.m. March 4, 2026. Submissions after the deadline will not be considered.
Submitted applications will also be considered for the La Canada Council PTA Scholarship.
