This Thursday evening the La Canada Council PTA will honor the Reflections Contest winners with an awards reception in the LCUSD Board Room. The award winners and their families are invited to attend. Congratulations to this year’s winners!

Please mark your calendars for our annual Servathon, coming up on Saturday, March 18th . It’s a fun day to come together to clean up and beautify our campus. All students and parents are encouraged to come, students can earn service hours. Drinks, donuts, and pizza will be served. See the flier and sign-up link below.

Revolution Prep is offering practice SAT and ACT tests. These will be fundraisers, with all proceeds going to LCHS PTSA! See details below:

The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) is a statewide organization that recognizes academic excellence upon graduation at the high school level. All Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior students with good grades and citizenship are encouraged to apply each semester.. To attain full membership and a CSF Gold Seal and graduation cord, a student needs to successfully submit an application with at least 4 semesters of high school grades.  One semester must come from senior year-- (this semester’s grades are used to apply in January-February)..  

Now is the time to turn in the application with last semester’s report card!  The application is now available on-line. You may go to lchsspartans.net to the student portal and look under Files and Forms; click on the app for CSF. Please only use this application, which is specifically for La Cañada; do not use an application from another site. Do not send in a transcript; we need to see citizenship. 

The application and report card copies are due no later than Friday, February 24th, at 9 PM.

We must apply for a drivers license by a certain date; we must file taxes by a certain date; we must pay bills by a certain date to avoid penalties. You must apply by February 24th.

The First District PTA Commemorative Senior Scholarship application process is now open.  The LCHS winner will receive a scholarship from the La Canada Council PTA in the amount of $750, and will move on to consideration at the First District.  The deadline to submit your application packet is Monday, March 14, 2023 at Noon.  

The application packet must be submitted to president@lacanadapta.org. You will receive a confirmation that your application has been received.

Eighth grade and high school graduation is around the corner! Congratulate your graduate with a fresh, fragrant flower lei (red and gold or white) to wear during their ceremony. Best part is the lei sales fund our senior brunch -- we appreciate your participation as we all celebrate the Class of 2023. Easy pickup at LCHS. Online order form will be available in March. Aloha!

The Amazon Smile Program will be discontinued at the end of the month. Do you have items you are waiting to order? If so, then we would encourage you to do so by the end of the month!Each Amazon account registered with Smile donated a portion back to our schools - SUPER easy way to support our schools while doing your regular shopping.

Speaking of regular shopping, is your Ralphs card registered? Last quarter, we received $2739.43 from Kroger! And did you know that you can ask extended families to register? Just choose "La Canada High School PTSA 7-12" as your community donor. Thank you for your continued support!
