Dear Family,

I hope the first day of school went well for everyone!  The end of summer break is always bittersweet, but it’s also exciting to start a new school year, reconnect with friends, make new friends, meet the teachers, and start off with fresh enthusiasm!  My youngest son is starting his junior year, and I am aware of how precious these first days of school are! 

The school year is starting out in full swing!  Our first PTSA Meeting is this Thursday morning, August 17^th, at 8:45 am in the Cafeteria.  I hope you can join us either in person or on Zoom.  Come hear all the latest updates from our Principal, District representatives, and staff before heading to work.  Coffee and light snacks will be served. The more you participate in our PTSA meetings and events the more engaged you will feel in our school family. 

The Spartan Online Order Form is open on the LCHS PTSA website.  You can join PTSA, sign up to volunteer, make donations, buy Spirit Wear and more!  The generous volunteer and financial support of our school families allows us to fund and run the many important programs that our school and students depend upon.

With a new year comes the Spartan Order Form, where you can donate, volunteer and purchase your PTSA membership, Directory, Home Tour Sponsorship, Tailgate tickets and Spirit Wear.

The funding sources that comprise the annual PTSA budget are from donations you choose to make on this form. LCHS PTSA relies on our school families to donate, either to our PTSA directed funds or as Sponsors of the annual La Canada Home Tour. YOUR student and YOUR school are counting on you. Please check it out!

ASB Fees and Yearbook Orders - Need to pay ASB fees and/or purchase a yearbook? You can do this online at lacanada.graystep.com. Log in or create an account using your student’s 7-digit ID number.

The ASB Fee gives students FREE admission to home football & basketball season games, discounts to ASB dances, & a FREE spirit shirt!  Students will need to show the receipt before taking their picture to get ASB on their ID - or pay $5 for ID reprint.  If your student did not get ASB on their ID on Registration Day, they can get a new ID on Photo Make Up Day, September 19^th.  They will need to have the receipt or a copy of it on their phone.

LCHS 2023-2024 Bell Schedule - School starts Tuesday, August 15th. The first two weeks of school will follow a daily schedule of all six classes each day.  Beginning on Monday, August 28th, school will follow the typical Block Schedule. Click here for the Bell Schedule.

Parking Permits - Students in 11^th & 12^th grade may submit a lottery entry online through Google forms, from August 8 thru August 25, 2023.  They must have a license when they submit the lotter entry (not a driver’s permit). Please click here for Parking Permit Regulations and the Google form.

In order to ensure that your student and family’s information in our directory database is accurate, please click here to log in and make any necessary changes by September 11th. You will also have the option to choose to not have your family’s information included in the directory, although a list of all student names will be included by grade.  

Orders for the directory are taken on the Spartan Order Form until September 11th.

Every year, LCHS PTSA, LCHS 7/8 PTA and Boosters organize a fun Tailgate Party at the start of football season. Families gather outside the football field as we play games, listen to a great DJ and enjoy delicious freshly prepared burgers from The Habit. A spirit tunnel is created by those present and our teams run through it and onto the field to kick off the Spartan athletics season. Tailgate is a membership event for both organizations and we encourage everyone to attend and support our important organizations.
