SUBJECT: LCHS 9-12 PTSA: All the News You Need!

President's Message

Dear Family,

Summer is wrapping up and Saturday is the first day of Fall! It’s so nice that the weather is cooling off and soon we’ll need to bring out the sweaters! I hope everyone is settling into their classes and all the other Fall activities.

Our Tailgate event had to be postponed to Friday, October 13th but we’re looking forward to celebrating our Fall athletic teams, spirit squads, the LCHS Marching Band, and Choir at 5:00 pm right before theHomecoming game against Monrovia High School. Come out for a fun night with friends and family to enjoy Habit Burger meals, Handel’s Ice Cream, and cheer on the Football team!

I hope that you can join us for our PTSA Meeting this Thursday morning, September 21st, at 8:45 am in the Staff Lounge. If you can’t be there in person, please join us on Zoom, the link is below.

Please read below for more information about what’s happening this month, including the Reflections Arts Contest.

Reach out anytime with questions to ptapresident@lchsptsa.org. Have a great week!

Warm Regards,
Christine Chant, LCHS PTSA President

LCE Halloween Haunt is looking for volunteers

LCE PTA Haunt Committee is looking for 50 student volunteers for our 35th Annual Haunt and Silent Auction on Saturday, October 21st from 1-5pm. Each volunteer is helping the Haunt's fundraising mission to support and enrich over 600 elementary students' public education.

The students will be responsible for the carnival games (re-setting), collecting tickets and giving prize tickets or helping with the Pumpkin Patch. Lunch will be provided at 12pm, followed by a quick orientation on games.

Each student can sign up using this link.

Amazon Wish Lists for Teachers

For the 2023-2024 school year, we’re continuing the Amazon Wish List for Teachers Program.  Each of the teachers, counselors, IRC staff, Wellness Center staff, and College and Career Center counselors have been invited to create a wish list of items that they need for their classrooms to make their day-to-day job easier.  These are things that they would have to purchase on their own, so this is a great way to support them by purchasing items for them.  The Wish List links will be posted on their Google Classrooms and the LCHS PTSA website, on the Teacher Appreciation page.

When you buy items from their list, they will be shipped to the school and the teacher will be notified.  If, for any reason, you choose to buy it separately, please let the teacher know so they can remove it from their list.

If you have any questions please contact Gisela Galan at gisgalan@protonmail.com or Christine Chant at ptapresident@lchsptsa.org

Thank you for supporting our teachers and staff!
