It is time to start preparing for all the exciting end of the year celebrations for our Class of 2023 Seniors! Please make a note of the opportunities and deadlines.

Seniors will be going to California Adventure Park on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. ASB will be selling tickets at LUNCH starting Thursday, March 2nd through Friday, March 10th.

Families must submit their Senior Contract before their student will be allowed to purchase a ticket.

8th grade and 12th high school graduation is around the corner! 

Congratulate your graduate with a fresh, fragrant flower lei (red & gold or white) to wear during their ceremony. Best part is the lei sales fund our senior brunch -- we appreciate your participation as we all celebrate the Class of 2023.  

Senior Leis are an annual tradition for LCHS graduating seniors. Pre-order a beautiful fresh double strand white or cardinal red lei for your senior and it will be made available for pickup at LCHS on June 1st after graduation rehearsal. 

Deadline for orders is May 20th!

One of the favorite Senior traditions is the Senior Brunch that takes place right after graduation rehearsal from 10:30 am - 1:00 pm. This is a free event for all seniors. We need your help in order to make this last hurrah as memorable and special as possible.

• Gift cards – For places to buy dorm supplies -Dormify, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target, Walmart, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, Amazon.
• Electronics items  – Things needed at college -headphones, earbuds, speakers, laptop essentials, extension cords, printer, single Keurig coffee maker with coffee/tea pods, etc.
• Other College Essentials – Bikes, backpacks, hampers, throw blankets, shower caddie, storage crates, hangers, towels, shoe racks, trash cans, desk fans, reading lamps.

The First District PTA Commemorative Senior Scholarship application process is now open. 

The LCHS winner will receive a scholarship from the La Canada Council PTA in the amount of $750, and will move on to consideration at the First District. The deadline to submit your application packet is Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at noon.

The application packet must be submitted via email to president@lacanadapta.org. You will receive a confirmation that your application has been received. 

Seniors must use the 2023 First District PTA Commemorative Scholarship fillable forms. CLICK HERE

All questions are to be answered fully, including a personal statement that touches on as many of the essay prompts as are applicable to the student.

The scholarship application packet must include the following completed documents in the following order:

• Scholarship Application Form
• PTA membership confirmation, which can be purchased and printed from the LCHS PTSA website at lchsptsa.org under “my account.”
• Student Personal Statement – response to prompt questions, which are contained in the application. Preferred in PDF.  Maximum of 500 words total. The Statement must include the word count.
• Completed Reference Form CLICK HERE with Letter of Recommendation
• Copy of High School Transcript

LOCAL Opportunity!

CSF is an all-volunteer organization that has scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 for local students and a mission to inspire students to achieve their full potential. 

Believing there is an abundance of scholarships awarded to the top GPA students, CSF seeks to identify, support and encourage higher education for students who have a high level of integrity, are committed, are self-motivated, and who persevere even in adversity.
