Welcome to the LCHS PTSA Website!

Dear LCHS Families and Staff Members,

It’s hard to believe, but the 2022-2023 school year is coming to an end. Looking back on the year, it’s been exciting and full of learning experiences, friendships, great sports seasons, and fun school-wide events including our annual traditions like Tailgate and the All-School Musical and new events like the Multicultural Night on May 12th . The student-led event was a huge success with booths featuring a wide variety of cultures displayed in creative ways, delicious food tastings, games, and entertainment that included traditional dancers and the Chamber Singers. I’m already looking forward to next year’s event!

Senior final exams begin on Wednesday, 5/24 and Grades 9-11 will begin next Wednesday, 5/31. You can find the Finals schedule here.

I hope the last two weeks of school go well for everyone, that students feel successful as they finish their classes and take final exams, and that everyone enjoys the end of the year festivities.

The end of the school year is always bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our friends for thesummer break or as we graduate and move on to new adventures. I wish our Seniors a heartfelt Congratulations!

Enjoy your summer break! I look forward to seeing everyone when school starts on August 15th!

Warm Regards,

Christine Chant

Rose Harrington Award Nominations

3/2/2023 8:48 am

This year’s nominations are due by Friday, March 31st with winners to be selected by an Endowment Trustee-appointed committee. Anyone is eligible to submit a nomination – fellow teachers, parents, administrators, and students (if they can independently complete the nomination form). You can find more information and submit an online nomination form by visiting https://lcfef.org/endowment/rose-harrington-award/. Paper nomination forms will also be available at upcoming PTA meetings, which you can submit via email, fax or mail.

The Rose Harrington Educator of the Year Award, which comes with a cash prize (last year it was over $7,000!), was established in 2002 by a bequest made in the estate of local resident Rose Harrington, who herself was an educator.

Please note: LCUSD administrators are NOT eligible for nomination

Questions can be directed to ed@lcfef.org.

NEW Check-In Policy for Visitors on Campus:

A new safety policy is in place this year - all visitors coming onto the LCHS campus need to sign in at the front office and get a visitor badge before entering the school. This includes everyone going to PTSA meetings and volunteering. Any visitors on campus without a badge may be asked to leave.
