Welcome to the LCHS PTSA Website!
Dear LCHS Families and Staff Members,
March is another busy month at LCHS! It started last weekend with the all-school musical, Legally Blonde. A huge congratulations to Mr. Eick and the incredibly talented cast for their amazing performances – the months of hard work and dedication paid off for a very successful show.
We also congratulate Mr. Stone and the orchestra for their hard work and wonderful performances. We are so lucky to have such dedicated performing arts teachers and talented students at our school!
Other events coming up this month are the Founders Day Awards ceremony on March 16 th at 6:30 pm in the Auditorium and our annual Servathon on March 18th. Please sign up to help if you haven’t already.
Our next PTSA meeting will be on Thursday, March 16th at 8:45 am. We’ll meet in the new College and Career Center, upstairs in the IRC. We’ll have a CHP officer do a presentation about the dangers of drunk driving. We hope that you can attend in person, but you can also join us on Zoom. The link will be provided before the meeting.
Please read below for more important information, including the annual Spring Home Tour on April 28th. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available now at lacanadahometour.com.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions to ptapresident@lchsptsa.org.
Have a great week!

Amazon Wish List for Teachers
9/13/2022 6:42 pm
This year PTSA is starting the Amazon Wish List for Teachers program to replace the Apples for Teachers program.
Each teacher has created a list of basic items that they need for their classroom to make their day-to-day job easier. The link will be posted in their Google Classrooms and on the Teacher Appreciation Program page.
Teachers will update their list throughout the school year. When you buy items from their list, they will be shipped to the school, removed from the wish list and the teacher will be notified. If for any reason you choose to buy it separately, please let the teacher know, so they can remove it from the wish list.
To see the Teachers’ Wish Lists, click here, then scroll down to find and click on their name. If you have any questions please contact Gisela Galan or Christine Chant, or the teacher.
Thank you for supporting our teachers and staff!

9-12 Attendance Procedures for signing students out of school during the day
Parents, guardians and 18 year olds, if you are scheduling doctor or personal appointments during school hours, please adhere to the following:
- Please bring a note to the Attendance Office before school so “permit to leave school grounds” can be processed. Note must include:

- Reason for leaving
- Time to leave
- Signature of parent/guardian or 18 year old
- Upon returning to school, student must return the permit to the Attendance Office with appropriate signature for validation of absence.

- Students feeling sick must go to the Health Office and see Miss Hastings.
- It is the responsibility of the parent, guardian or 18 year old to call the Attendance Office the day of the absence. Absences must be cleared within 72 hours, if not, student can be considered unexcused.
School’s automated robo calls go out at 3:30pm, M-F, to those homes of student’s whose absences have not been cleared for the day.
