First District PTA Scholarships

 

 

CALLING ALL GRADUATING SENIORS!

 

First District PTA & La Cañada Council PTA The First District PTA Commemorative Senior Scholarship application process is now open. The winner will receive a scholarship from the First District PTA in the amount of $750. Applications will also be considered for the La Cañada Council PTA scholarship. Seniors must use the 2024 First District PTA Commemorative Scholarship fillable forms: the application and the reference form.  All questions are to be answered fully, including a personal statement that touches on as many of the essay prompts as are applicable to the student. The scholarship application must be submitted by March 1, 2024 and include the following completed documents:

 

  1. Scholarship Application Form
  2. PTA membership card/confirmation, which can be picked up in the College & Career Center from Mrs. Proctor. You’ll need to scan this card and include it in your online application.
  3. Student Personal Statement – response to prompt questions, which are contained in the application. Preferred in PDF or Word. Maximum of 500 words total. The Statement must be included in the word count.
  4. Completed Reference Form with Letter of Recommendation
  5. Copy of High School Transcript

LCHS 9-12 PTSA

Senior Scholarship

 

 

The LCHS 9-12 PTSA awards scholarship(s) to graduating seniors each year. The scholarships vary in amount from $250 to $1000.

Applicant eligibility: 2024 graduating LCHS senior with current 9-12 PTSA membership planning to continue higher education and a resident of California. (9-12 PTSA membership cards can be picked up from the College and Career Center.) The scholarship acknowledges students involved in community service and leadership. Applicants will need to provide a completed application, transcript, and references (one from a teacher, another from a non-relative adult such as a coach, mentor outside of school, etc.)

Completed application packets should be turned into Mrs. Kelly Proctor in the College and Career Center no later than 3:30 PM on Friday, May 3, 2024.

Important News

Check-In Policy for Visitors on Campus:

A safety policy is in place for all visitors/volunteers coming onto the LCHS campus. Visitors and Volunteers need to sign in at the front office and get a visitor badge before entering the school. Please note, if you are attending a PTSA Meeting you may proceed directly to the meeting and sign-in at the meeting. Any visitors on campus without a badge may be asked to leave.
