RED RIBBON WEEK OCTOBER 23 ~ 27

The LCHS PTSA, along with the LCHS Wellness Center, will be offering programming and resources to students and parents throughout the week for Red Ribbon Week, 10/23-10/27. The theme for this year is "Be Kind to Your Mind, Live Drug Free." This year’s theme is a reminder that everyday Americans across the country make significant daily contributions to their communities by being the best they can be because they live Drug-Free!

Each day of Red Ribbon Week we will have some activity related to the dangers of alcohol consumption and driving, smoking and vaping, with the capstone event on Friday, 10/27.

For a comprehensive, multi-media campaign focusing on talking to your children early about the dangers of alcohol and other drugs, take a look at the Substance Use & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)’s “Talk. They Hear You” campaign.

The PTSA Red Ribbon/Choices Matter campaign raises awareness and prevention of drug, alcohol and vaping use and abuse.
